If you like me come from a cold climate, you’ll always dream of white sandy beaches and swaying palm tress as you sip cocktails from a coconut. This is the bounty dream (I blame commercials).
But does it actually exist? Yes, it does! The island of Koh Chang in Thailand is a beach paradise. At least, that’s how I felt after 3 months of backpacking through Asia. But can a beach paradise also become tiresome? Can there be too much of a good thing?

Okay, 3. world problems…
You might want to explore something else than a palm beach after a while – but it takes a while. If you still want more beach, try Culture Trips’ guide to the best beaches in Spain. But when you eventually get tired of doing nothing, try to explore Vietnam from the back of a war veteran’s motorcycle!
